The date of the source, the date of the edition and the date of a correction answer different questions. Keeping them distinct helps a future reader locate what changed and why. A recent file is not evidence of a contemporary text.
I would give the reader a short account of the source and the intervention, with uncertainty left visible. Publishing OS remains an internal R&D prototype; keeping those relationships traceable is a question for its development, not a commercially validated capability claimed here.
